Lorrie Luellig leads Luellig Legal, P.L.C., a law firm dedicated to Information Governance. In her practice, she offers advice and counsel to businesses across industries concerning Information Governance. She has advised clients on the creation and implementation of Global Information Governance Programs, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Litigation Holds, Privacy and Security Issues as well as other business practices related to the organization, protection and disposition of valued information.
Lorrie has helped to create and implement Information Governance strategies for both Fortune 100 companies and smaller privately and publicly held companies. She has extensive experience counseling clients on building a solid legal framework to enable the defensible disposal of information. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of navigating complex legal retention obligations, determining business value of information and creating a dialog among company stakeholders for successful implementation of corporate retention policy and procedure on a global scale. Lorrie also provided expert testimony on information governance practices in Estate of Metcalf, et. al., v. Yamaha, et. al. Case No. GIC842234, In the Superior Court of the State of California, In and For the County of San Diego (2008).
Lorrie received her LL.M. from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While attending Harvard, she was also a guest lecturer at Boston College of Law. Lorrie received her J.D., magna cum laude, from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, where she received numerous awards including three American Jurisprudence Awards in civil procedure, torts, and women and the law. She received her B.S., cum laude, from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Lorrie received the highest score on the Arizona Bar Exam in February of 1996. She also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Irma Gonzales, United States District Court, Southern District of California.
